Liz Fedesna is a U.S. licensed architect who decided, in 2011, to follow her own dream of living and practicing full time in Antigua.
Prior to 2011, Liz was working for a firm in Portland, Oregon that specialized in high end residential and resort work. As an Associate there, she spent most of her 10 years with that firm overseeing a large number of built projects on a small private island called Jumby Bay off the coast of Antigua. Through those projects, she gained an intimate knowledge of construction practices and procedures in the region which she was able to apply to her more recent work as a sole-practitioner.
Once relocated in Antigua and practicing on her own, she first took on the responsibilities of Construction Project Manager for a Boutique Hotel in English Harbour and later began working as an Owner’s Representative for several clients.
Her recent completed work, for a broad spectrum of international clients of all backgrounds, includes mostly projects that she was actively involved with designing, planning and administering, from first napkin sketches, through project completion and client move-in. In several cases, though, Liz will also take on designs started by others and assist her clients with permit drawings, contractor negotiations, and construction observation, as many clients come to her with a design already started, but do not know how to make their dream a reality in Antigua.
The images presented on this website include mostly project photos taken as she served as Designer and Owner’s Representative as a Construction Consultant in Antigua over the last 8 years, including drawings, sketches, during construction photos, and finished product. A few photos are also included to show a small sampling of projects she oversaw while still with her former U.S. firm.
She is looking forward to sharing her creative talents and acquired regional construction knowledge with future clients as they plan their own island dreams.
